The Ministry of Social Services is seeking Child Protection Assistant Supervisors to support the delivery of protective, preventative and support services for children, families and caregivers using the Family Centered Case Management and P.R.I.D.E. Models of Practice. Responsibilities include coaching and mentoring staff, providing leadership in placements and caregiver support, assisting with coordination across programs and partner agencies, serving as a liaison with First Nations CFS agencies, and participating in committees as required.
Candidates must have a Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work, several years of experience in Child Protection/Childrens Services and supervising professional staff, and strong knowledge of child protection policy, indicators of abuse and neglect, multicultural perspectives and effective leadership practices.
